When you give to Cooperative ESL Ministries, your donation goes toward the work of reaching out to newcomers in Calgary. As a result, trained volunteers are equipped with tools to reach newcomers through English Language Learning, building friendships and opening doors to share the Good News, which ultimately leads to changed lives.

For you to partner with us as we fulfill our mission and vision.

Did you know that we operate on only 20 paid hours per week? This covers planning and setting up training programs, designing and producing promotional materials and keeping our website current, as well as producing a monthly electronic newsletter. Because we are dedicated to using your donations responsibly, many other tasks are done by our awesome volunteers, including our board members.

Ministry costs money; if we don’t ask, we don’t receive.

Awareness of our financial needs is necessary to continue the work of Cooperative ESL Ministries. We know God works through His people to provide resources to continue the important work of reaching out to newcomers through our training programs. We want to be clear that we don’t want you to feel pressured to give. Biblical giving should be done with a grateful and joyful heart, not under compulsion (2 Cor. 9:6-7).
